Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Set the Mood
Pick a playlist to listen to as you begin setting up your bathhouse experience.
This playlist is meant to help slow down your thoughts. Please note that there is a different playlist option for your actual bath experience.

Step 2: Set Your Bath Intentions
Write a self-care intention for your bath experience
Intention-Setting Instructions
Example intentions include: “During this bath, I will be kind to myself, be patient with my body, stay grounded, release my negative thoughts, and be in the present."
Step 3: Set Your Environment
Make your bathroom into a sanctuary
- Flowers
- Candles
- Bath Tools
- Bath Lighting
Step 4: Boil Hot Water
You will need to boil water for the experience
- 1.75-3L for the bathhouse formula - 1.75L is one large kettle's worth of water
- 1L for tea (for the kit only)
- Optional: Boil your electric kettle inside the bathroom for steam and convenience
Step 5: Run Your Bath Waters
Fill your tub 1/3 of the way with hot water with the door closed
- The goal is to make your bathroom nice and steamy so that it creates a sauna-like environment and helps retain scent better (makes the atmosphere heavier so the scent lingers longer)
- Optional: Place a towel at the foot of the door to prevent steam from escaping and increase humidity inside the bathroom (please note that this can be a safety and fire hazard so please be aware of the risks)
Step 6: Light Your Candles
Melt the top before sprinkling in lavender
If you have our candles, we recommend lighting it early so that the entire surface is melted before you sprinkle in the lavender
- If you purchased a Premium Garden Bathhouse, please put the naked votive candles on a small plate
- I do not recommend introducing overly scented candles into this experience - the scent is meant to be light, natural, and gentle
Step 7: Prepare Bathhouse Tea Bag
Put bath blend into the bath tea bag
- Cut the top off and put the entire tea bag over the "plastic" container
- Flip everything upside down and allow the ingredients to pour into the tea bag
- Pull the strings tightly until the tea bag is closed
- take one string and, in one direction, wrap it around the top tightly; take the other string and tie it tightly in the opposite direction
- Tie a knot so that formula is secure in place
Step 8: Prepare to Steep Bathhouse Tea Bag
Prepare inside the bathroom
- Bring the large pot to the bathroom and place it on a stable, heat-resistant, and flat surface
- Place the Bathhouse tea bag inside the large pot
- Pour boiling hot water into pot
- Use wooden spoon to press down lightly occasionally
- Optional: Place a towel at the foot of the door to prevent steam from escaping
Step 9: Steep Bathhouse Tea Bag
Steep for 8-10 minutes inside the bathroom
- Leave the door closed
- Let the aroma steep through
Step 10: Select Your Auditory Experience
Choose your imaginative experience
This bath is about bringing together the different senses in a seamless way. Instead of putting on a TV show or sitting in silence, appreciate diverse sounds and rhythms and colour your thoughts with our relaxation playlists.
P.S. We are not affiliated with Spotify, but we do love them. You need Spotify premium to enjoy this.
Garden Bathhouse Playlist
This playlist feels like a warm July. Listening to it makes me feel like I'm in a garden covered with vibrant flowers with no end in sight. I imagine the sun setting and the sky transform from a soft blue to a vibrant lilac and orange glow.
Calming Nature Bath
Sometimes, nature is what we need to feel free and pure. This playlist was curated so you can close your eyes and picture yourself with the trees, birds, and water, surrounded by Mother Earth and her soul-nourishing beauty. Dance with the birds, smell the fresh rain, and taste the salty ocean air.
Meditative Relaxation Playlist
Mindful meditation will elevate your bath experience, transforming your routine into a soulful ritual that is rejuvenating and rebalancing. I fell in love with Tibetan singing bowls during my travels in Asia - so let these sounds wash over your mind, body and soul as you soak in our warm baths.
Step 11: Be Intentional
Review your bath intention and put your phone away. Similar to going to attending public bathhouses, put your phone away and be in the moment. Practice mindfulness and meditation.
Step 12: Relax and Enjoy
I hope this bath experience offers you some comfort and relief from the daily stressors that overwhelm and drain us. One small recommendation is to put the towel at the foot of the door to keep the steam in. Be cautious that this will make the air heavier in the bathroom so I don't recommend this for people with respiratory issues. When you're done your bath, come back here and I'll offer you some next steps to close off this experience. If this page disappears, scan the QR code and click "I am done my bath" when prompted in the beginning.
Enjoy :)
